Our current Leader Training is offered twice a year, providing flexible options to suit different learning styles and availability.
- Face-to-Face Training (May)
Each May, we offer an in-person training course in partnership with the University of New South Wales. As part of her university teaching, Anita McGregor delivers the course to her students and offers additional places to eligible applicants who can attend on the published dates. The training runs over three consecutive days, and participants must attend all sessions in full. - Online Training (August)
Our second training opportunity is delivered online each August over three consecutive days. Facilitated by experienced leader trainers, Kathy Madson and Terri-Lee Hill, this course provides comprehensive support to help applicants become fully-fledged Family Connections leaders. As with the in-person course, participants are required to commit to the full three days and attend all sessions. - Upcoming Self-Paced Hybrid Training (Launching late 2025)
We are excited to be rolling out a new Leader Training format, set to launch by the end of 2025. This option will offer greater flexibility through a self-paced online course combined with weekly, one-hour discussion sessions led by an experienced leader. The course will run over an eight-week period, allowing participants to complete individual modules at their own pace, while staying connected and supported through regular group check-ins.
